125 new COVID-19 cases hit PNP

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday announced that COVID-19 infected 125 more police personnel, increasing the total number of cases within the national police force to 24,372.

The PNP added that there are still 1,660 active cases, 22,645 recoveries (204 new recoveries), as of June 3, according to its daily COVID-19 tally released on its Facebook page.

No recent COVID-19 deaths were reported, as the death toll remained at 67.

Meanwhile, as of Wednesday afternoon, the Department of Health said that the Philippines has a total of 1,240,716 COVID-19 cases, including 53,132 active infections, 1,167,426 recoveries and 21,158 deaths.
