Teen among 4 new COVID-19 fatalities in Olongapo City
OLONGAPO CITY –– A teen boy in this city had died of COVID-19 Monday, May 31, and was among the four fatalities related to the disease recorded here.
In a statement, Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said the city’s death toll had jumped to 102 as its COVID-19 cases reached the 2,000-mark.
The other latest fatalities were men aged 55, 65, and 74.
Local health data showed that the city logged at least one death daily in the last 11 days. Most of them were elderly residents.
At least 13 new COVID-19 cases were added to the city’s latest tally, bringing the active infections to 267.
But 1,631 patients also recovered Monday from the disease, including the 13 new ones.
