Zambales reports 40 new COVID-19 cases

SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES – Forty new COVID-19 cases were reported in Zambales on Friday (May 28), bringing the total number of infections to 2,034 since the pandemic was declared last year.

Among the newly infected were 11 employees of different companies, some of whom were exposed to their infected coworkers, said Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, in a statement.

The other patients were workers in Olongapo City and in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Bueno also reported 12 cases who recovered on Friday, raising the total recoveries in the province to 1,962.
