SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– At least four families in this province were sickened by COVID-19 Wednesday, May 26, local health data showed.
In a statement, Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the patients are among the 22 new COVID-19 cases recorded in the province that day.
Among them are a barangay health worker, 57, and her husband, 59, who works as a law enforcer inside the Subic Bay Freeport. The couple got exposed to the man’s mother, 84.
In Castillejos town, a woman, 25, got the virus from her workplace and infected her father, 64.
In Sta. Cruz town, two women aged 41 and 32 had also tested positive for the disease together with their children.
The province has listed 2,211 COVID-19 cases, 236 of which are active, 1,921 recovered, and 53 dead.
