Police seize P20,400 worth of ‘shabu’ in Malate bust; alleged pushers nabbed
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested three suspected drug pushers during a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila on Tuesday night that led to the seizure of P20,400 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth).
In a police report, the suspects were identified as Jimelyn Lauzon, 32 years old; Jonel Asis, 43 years old; and Mhica Dela Cruz, 41 years old.
According to the Malate Police Station (PS-9), police officers conducted the bust along Madre Ignacia St., cor. San Andres St. in Malate at 8:50 p.m.
Police were able to seize five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets that contained the suspected shabu.
The confiscated drugs have an estimated value of P24,400, according to authorities.
Two pieces of P100 bills, tagged as buy-bust money, were also confiscated by the anti-narcotics operatives.

Cases for violation of Republic Act 9165, or The Dangerous Drugs Act, are being prepared for inquest proceedings against the arrested suspects before the Office of the City Prosecutor.
