Codilla, Britana headline Lagtang boxfest

UNIVERSITY of the Visayas (UV) Boxing Team’s Dann Lou Codilla and Talisay City’s Jun Britana will headline the “Boxing Sa Lagtang” fight card in Talisay City’s Lagtang Sports Complex tomorrow.

Both boxers will fight in the 56kg division and will try to prevent an upset as they fight in front of their homecrowd.

In the 54kg division, Talisay City’s Pj Vantic will fight Jicky Malupay of Cabancalan, Mandaue. Rolan Servania of Bacolod City will fight Talisay’s Jun Michael Masong in the 52kg division. Talisay’s Steven Noblefranca, on the other hand, will try to stop the visiting Cherwellan Cantel of Cabancalan, Mandaue in the 50kg division.

Christian Bacolod of Mabolo, Cebu will go up against Talisay’s Johan Bacus in the 50kg division. Eric Navarro of Talisay City will fight Ryan Dungog of Mandaue City in the 46kg division. Lemar Timario will fight Codilla’s teammate Bryan Remedio in the 42kg division.

Jeffrey Stella of the Philippine Australian Boxing Club and Sultan Kudarat’s Mervin Lulu will fight in the 40kg division. Kit Garces of Talisay City will fight Phil.Aust boxing club’s Rhezon Tarona also in the 40kg division. Joshua Bacus and Cd Noblefranca, both from Talisay City, will square off also in the 40kg division.

Marco Pumar from Talisay will fight Phil. Aust Boxing’s Raymund Rama in the 38kg division. Talisay City’s Marvin Pumar will have a showdown against Vicente Seos-e Jr. of Cabancalan, Mandaue under the 30kg division. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
