8 kids among new COVID-19 cases in Zambales town

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– At least eight children were among the new COVID-19 cases in Castillejos town on Sunday, May 23, local health data show.

The youngest, aged 1 and 2, are children of a couple working as police officers. They are residents of Barangay Del Pilar.

The other virus-infected children belong to the same households and have been exposed to relatives who had contracted the virus.

The town recorded seven other COVID-19 cases on the same day.

These include two hospital workers inside the Subic Bay Freeport. So far, Castillejos has registered 237 COVID-19 cases since last year. INQ
