Robredo warns against nondisclosure of COVID-19 vaccine brands
MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday warned that the government’s directive not to disclose the vaccine brands before they are administered might instead fuel more distrust toward vaccines, and urged the National Task Force Against COVID-19 to reconsider its brand-agnostic policy.
Robredo said “[people] might all the more refuse to sign up for a vaccine.”
“For me, the solution is not to hide the brand but to [find] ways to boost the public’s vaccine confidence,” Robredo said in her weekly radio show. “That’s what we should work on instead.”
