TUGUEGARAO CITY-  Around 1,000 families received free meals from youth leaders who organized a week-long food drive here on Saturday.

Volunteers for “Meals on Wheels Para sa Masa” in Barangay Annafunan used a tricycle with a large cauldron full of food to feed villagers, said Gerald Valdez, Annafunan East Sangguniang Kabataan president.

“The preparation is tedious but with the thought of helping less-fortunate people in the village, we do missionary work like this one,” Valdez told the Inquirer.
