Pampanga cops nab teen, seize P136K ‘shabu’

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Members of the police drug enforcement unit here on Saturday (May 22) arrested an 18-year-old drug suspect during a buy-bust operation that also resulted in the confiscation of some P130,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth).

Lt. Col. Soledad Elefanio, acting city chief of police, identified the suspect as Alyodin Sarip alias “Jomar.”

The suspect was arrested after allegedly selling P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover policeman in Barangay Sta. Ines.

Elefanio said operatives found and confiscated two pieces of plastic sachets containing alleged shabu weighing 20 grams from the suspect. The seized illegal drugs had a street value of P136,000.

The suspect is facing charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs in violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
