SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– Two more workers in a food company in Castillejos town are added to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in this province on Sunday.
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said a 41-year-old delivery van driver and a 33-year-old delivery helper were the new patients in the company.
The two were the latest to get infected with COVID-19 at their workplace.
Bueno said the company was locked down since May 8 for disinfection and contact tracing after a patient infected some of its employees.
At least three of its workers had initially tested positive for the virus when the results of the swab tests were released on May 13
The province also logged six other COVID-19 cases on Sunday. Among the new patients are older residents and workers in the Subic Bay Freeport.
To date, the province has 2,044 COVID-19 cases, and 170 are still active.
At least 1,822 patients had also recovered from the disease, and 51 had died.
