Teacher, pharmacy assistant among 6 new Zambales COVID-19 cases
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales–A public teacher and a pharmacy assistant in this province have contracted COVID-19 and were among the six new cases in the province as of Saturday, May 15.
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the 57-year-old teacher is a resident of Barangay San Nicholas in Castillejos town. It was not immediately known how she contracted the virus.
The 25-year-old pharmacy assistant is from Barangay East Dirita in this town and could have been infected with COVID-19 at work.
Zambales has breached the 2,000-mark after recording a total of 2,306 COVID-19 cases.
At least five patients have also recovered from the disease on Saturday, bringing to 1,822 the province’s tally of recoveries from the disease.
In the last seven days, the province did not record any new COVID-19 related death with the death toll remaining at 51. INQ
