2 ‘drug dens’ busted in Zambales town; 12 held

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Authorities on Sunday (May 16) raided two alleged drug dens and arrested 12 suspected drug traders in separate anti-narcotics operations in Subic town.

Around P81,500 worth of “shabu” and drug paraphernalia were seized in the first sting operation in Barangay Matain where seven people were arrested, according to a report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Luzon.

The suspects were identified as Felix Predas, Loida Predas, Rico Mamarilz, Jhoan Diaz, Renie Sapnu, Nino Carias, and Crisanto Padilla.

Meanwhile, at least P105,000 worth of shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized in the second operation in Barangay Calapacuan where five more suspects were arrested.

They were identified as Benjamin Cruz, Elmer Bais, Rex Soriano, Emmanuel Reyes, and Marvin Toralba.

The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
