LUCENA CITY –– A 68-year-old Small Town Lottery (STL) bet collector was shot and killed in Candelaria town in Quezon province around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, police said Monday.
Emerson Tagana, a resident of Barangay Malabanban Norte, was approached by a still unidentified male assailant while inside a vulcanizing shop in his village.
Without provocation, the suspect, armed with a handgun of unknown caliber, repeatedly shot the victim, who died on the spot.
The police are investigating the incident to establish the motive behind the killing and unmask the killer.
