Quezon Representative Suarez gets the virus

/ 05:10 AM May 09, 2021

Quezon Rep. Aleta Suarez has contracted the new coronavirus after her husband, Quezon Gov. Danilo Suarez, tested positive for the virus days earlier. Suarez posted on the Facebook page of the Quezon provincial government that she was on home isolation as she is asymptomatic. A physician is monitoring her condition. The lawmaker was tested on May 6 as a close contact of her husband. Her results came out on Friday. “I advise those I have interacted with and became my close contacts in the past days, to undergo self-quarantine and monitor your health for symptoms,” Suarez said. —Julie M.
