MANILA, Philippines – Office work in the House of Representatives Complex will be suspended from May 10 to 14 to give way for disinfection and the resumption of sessions on May 17.

“In order to give way to the preparation for the resumption of sessions on Monday, 17 May 2021, including the disinfection of the entire House of Representatives Complex, office work will be suspended for the period 10-14 May 2021,” read a memorandum from the House, which was confirmed by Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.

Meanwhile, the vaccination of House of Representatives employees against COVID-19 is set to begin on May 10, according to a separate document.

The vaccination will take place at the South Wing Annex, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., read the document, and the vaccinees will include frontliners in the health services, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and frontline employees in the essential sectors, including uniformed personnel.

The list of vaccinees is in line with the COVID-19 Vaccination Program prioritization framework, according to the document.
