7 deaths added to Zambales COVID-19 tally
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– The province’s death toll from COVID-19 rose to 47 following the demise of seven more infected patients, an official said on Tuesday,
But Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said these deaths had been belatedly relayed to his office.
He said four of the fatalities were patients aged 55-72 from this town.
The other fatalities were a 53-year-old man from San Narciso, a 56-year-old man from Palauig, and a 68-year-old woman from Cabangan.
Bueno said the province also recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases that day, raising the active infections to 274.
The province reported 1,878 cases since last year, including the 1,556 patients who recovered from the disease.
