Meth worth P2M seized in Camarines Sur buy-bust; Drug suspect slain
LEGAZPI CITY –– The police seized P2,040,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) from a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Pili town in Camarines Sur province Monday.
Colonel Bernardo Perez, Camarines Sur police chief, said Julian Fornoles, 37, fired at the police, who were about to arrest him, after a drug transaction in Barangay La Purisima at 3:50 p.m.
The police retaliated, killing the suspect who was on the illegal drugs watch list.
Recovered were 300 grams of shabu, a caliber .45 pistol, and bullets.
