MANILA, Philippines — The local government of San Juan City is set to open a 52-room container van quarantine facility on Friday, April 30.

The new quarantine facility was constructed by the Department Public Works and Highways, under the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases’ We Heal As One banner.

San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora said its opening would mean the city will be able to accommodate more COVID-positive patients as it will augment the COVID beds in the city.

“This means we are much more equipped now to take on more asymptomatic patients and those who are experiencing mild symptoms so they can no longer infect their loved ones at home,” he added.

Each room in the 52-room facility has its own bed, aircon, and toilet.
