Negros Occidental prov’l admin office in Bacolod shut for disinfection
BACOLOD CITY –– The Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator’s Office in this city was closed for disinfection starting Thursday, April 29, after one of its staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the employee had a fever and cough and was quarantined at the Mambukal Resort in Murcia.
Three of his close contacts will be swabbed for COVID-19.
If the three close contacts test positive, Diaz said more employees at the Provincial Administrator’s Office would have to be tested for COVID-19.
The other staff members of the Provincial Administrator’s Office will be isolated and observed for COVID-19 symptoms.
Negros Occidental currently has 1,863 active COVID-19 cases.
