SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—Parts of the building housing this town’s health office had been closed starting on Wednesday (April 28) over fears that staff members had been exposed to COVID-19 patients.

In an advisory, Dr. Edzel Lonzanida, municipal health officer, said the emergency room and the outpatient department would be closed until Thursday (April 29) for disinfection.

She said the birthing station and events center will also be closed from Wednesday until Friday (April 30).

While these areas remained shut, Lonzanida said the municipal health office would still accept emergency cases.

She said these areas could have been exposed to at least four COVID-19 cases.

No details were released about the patients.
