Online registration for National ID system to start April 30 — Neda chief
MANILA, Philippines — The online registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) will start on April 30, National Economic Development Authority (Neda) chief Karl Chua said Wednesday.
“We will start small on April 30,” Chua told INQUIRER.net in a text message.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) earlier said it will be launching an online portal for national ID registration.
Applicants will simply have to input their personal information and schedule their visit to centers to have their biometrics information recorded.
For the first quarter of 2021, 17.4 million individuals have completed the system’s Step 1 registration, which involves the door-to-door collection of information in low-income households and appointment setting for Step 2.

The PSA aims to register 70 million individuals in the PhilSys by the end of this year.
