MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said it has logged 97 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, bringing its total cases to 19,735.

The PNP also recorded 164 new recoveries, bringing the total personnel who recovered to 17,817.

There are only 1,863 active COVID-19 cases in the PNP ranks.

No new COVID-related death was recorded among the PNP personnel, hence the total number of fatalities remained at 55.

Meanwhile, the Philippines’ total number of coronavirus infections stands at 1,006,428 cases, 914,952 total recoveries, and deaths at 16,853. – Liezelle Soriano Roy, INQUIRER.net trainee
