Cloudy skies in Northern, Central Luzon

MANILA, Philippines — The northeasterly wind flow is expected to bring clouds over Northern and Central Luzon, but weather conditions around the country would generally be warm and humid, state meteorologists said on Monday.

According to weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), isolated rains may also be felt, but these would likely occur by afternoon and night.

As of now, no weather disturbance or tropical cyclones are being monitored.

Despite satellite images showing think clouds over Luzon, temperatures up north are expected to remain high, like in Tuguegarao with 24 to 34 degrees Celsius and Laoag with 23 to 33 degrees.

In contrast, Manila and Puerto Princesa would have something between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius, Tagaytay with 22 to 31 degrees, and Legazpi with 26 to 32 degrees.

Hot and humid conditions would also prevail in Visayas and Mindanao, as expected temperatures in Cebu and Iloilo range from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius, 25 to 32 degrees in Tacloban, 24 to 34 degrees in Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro, and 25 to 34 degrees in Davao City.

No gale warning has been raised, but Pagasa warned seafarers and boat operators that the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon would have a moderate to rough condition, while western waters of Luzon and seas east of Visayas and Mindanao would have a moderate condition.

The rest of the country’s waters would be slight to moderate only.
