PNP logs 141 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday said that it has logged 141 new COVID-19 cases among its police officers, bringing the total number of infections to 19,536.

The PNP said in a Facebook post that as of April 24, its health service also recorded 128 new recoveries, bringing total recoveries to 17,418.

Meanwhile, one new death has been reported, bringing the total death toll to 53 officers.

The PNP currently has 2,065 active cases of COVID-19 infected officers.

The country’s total number of infections stands at 989,380 cases, with 89,485 currently active cases, 883,221 total recoveries and a death toll at 16,674.
