Burglar who downloaded porn, left semen on victim’s laptop pleads guilty
A 22-year-old burglar who left his semen on his victim’s laptop during a break-in in California, United States, has pleaded guilty.
Jonathan Jose Ruiz of Orange County reportedly broke in into a home on the evening of Oct. 4 back in 2018, as per KNBC earlier today, April 20. He was 19 years old then.
Ruiz stole underwear from the victim and ate his cookies and drank his milk, according to Sgt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department.
He also downloaded pornographic images using the victim’s laptop and relieved himself during the break-in. Ruiz, however, left his semen on the device’s keyboard, which made it easier for police to identify him via DNA testing.
Ruiz was arrested back then, but only pleaded guilty to single felony counts each of burglary and vandalism yesterday, April 19, according to the report.
He accepted a plea deal from Orange County Superior Court Judge Gary Pohlson, who sentenced him to six years and eight months in prison. He was however given credit for 511 days behind bars. Ian Biong/JB
