PNP logs 140 new COVID-19 cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said that it has logged 140 new COVID-19 cases among its police officers, bringing the total number of infections to 18,669.

The PNP said in a Facebook post that as of April 18, its health service also recorded 188 new recoveries, bringing total recoveries to 16,390.

No new deaths have been reported, according to the PNP.

The PNP currently has 2,228 active cases of COVID-19 infected officers.

Meanwhile, the country’s total number of infections stands at 936,133 cases, with 141,089  currently active cases, and a death toll at 15,960.
