MANILA, Philippines – An official of a television network has been requested by the prosecution to appear and testify in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

A two-page request for issuance of subpoena duces tecum requiring Ging Reyes, head of ABS-CBN , to appear before the Senate, sitting as an impeachment court, was filed by the prosecution team Wednesday.

The TV executive was also requested to bring with her at least seven videos in connection with a temporary restraining order issued by the Supreme Court against the government’s watch list order on former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal -Arroyo in November last year.

The prosecutors also requested the list of cameramen who took the requested videos.
Corona has been accused of allegedly showing partiality in granting the TRO in favor of Arroyo, an allegation contained in the impeachment complaint filed against the Chief Justice.
