MANILA, Philippines — Quirino province will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until April 30, Malacañang said Friday.
“The IATF [Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases] approved the extension of the risk-level classification of Quirino Province under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine until April 30, 2021,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
As of April 13, Quirino province recorded 1,115 COVID-19 cases, of which 220 are active.
Earlier, it was announced that Quirino province will only be under MECQ from April 1 to April 15.
Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, and Laguna are also under MECQ until the end of this month.
More establishments are allowed to reopen either on a limited capacity or full capacity under MECQ.
