BREAKING: Severe Tropical Storm Bising enters PAR
MANILA, Philippines — Severe Tropical Storm Surigae (international name) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday morning, according to the state weather bureau. The weather disturbance will now be known locally as “Bising.”
“At 6:20 AM today, Severe Tropical Storm ‘SURIGAE’ entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and was assigned the domestic name ‘BISING’,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in a tweet.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the state weather bureau said the storm has maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 135 kph as it moves westward at 10 kph.
Due to its trough, cloudy skies with rain showers may be expected in Eastern Visayas and Mindanao regions.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, the rest of Visayas will have marginally cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Further, Pagasa said the Luzon region will experience fair weather, in general, with slightly cloudy to cloudy skies. There are also chances of isolated rain showers on this island due to thunderstorms.
