CITY OF CALAPAN –– Coronavirus cases in this city of Oriental Mindoro climbed anew with 13 new cases Wednesday, involving mostly frontline health workers, the City Health and Sanitation Department reported Thursday, April 15.
Of the infected frontliners, four are workers of a local hospital aged 22 to 25 years old; three are healthcare workers aged 31, 49, and 54; and two are personnel of the Department of Health (DOH) office here, the report said.
The remaining new cases involve a 25-year-old female teacher and three other city residents who have no symptoms.
Since the pandemic began last year, the city has logged 939 COVID-19, of which 94 are active. The city has recorded 828 recoveries and 17 deaths.
