MANILA, Philippines – A man who was applying for a police clearance was arrested by operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) at the Fairview Police Station 5 after his name got a “hit” in the police clearance system on Tuesday afternoon.
In a statement, QCPD Director, Police Brigadier General Danilo P. Macerin said Rodrigo Banuelos who was securing the clearance got the “hit” for a qualified theft case in Valenzuela City for which he has a standing warrant.
Meanwhile, two others were also arrested by QCPD in separate anti-criminality operations.
Police officers from the Talipapa Police Station arrested Mary Grace Mascunana in Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon who has a warrant of arrest for swindling (estafa) from Branch 37 of the Metropolitan Trial Court in Quezon City with the bail set at P72,000.
On Tuesday night, officers of the Galas Police Station (PS 11) served Michael Reyes an arrest warrant for violation of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
