2 dead in motorcycle-truck collision in Quezon province
LUCENA CITY –– Two motorcycle riders died in a collision with a truck tractor head along the Maharlika Highway in Candelaria town in Quezon province on Tuesday night.
The Quezon police reported Wednesday that motorcyclist Marvin Malabanan, 19, occupied the opposite lane of the highway in Barangay Mangilag Sur that led to the collision with the oncoming truck driven by Ronnie Orendaibn at 8:20 p.m.
The collision impact caused grave injuries on Malabanan and his back rider, Teody Quilope, 26. Both died on the spot.
The suspect is under police custody while an investigation continues.
