3 alleged NPA rebels surrender in Masbate

LEGAZPI CITY –– Three alleged New People’s Army members surrendered in Uson town in Masbate province on Monday night.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said the communist guerrillas, identified as alias “Greg,” 33; “James,” 40, and “Dindo,” 32, surrendered to government forces in Barangay Aurora around 7:45 p.m.

Calubaquib said Greg surrendered a caliber 5.56 gun with three bullets.

The surrenderers were members of “Militia ng Bayan” and under the command of Rogelio Suson, aka Manong of Komiteng Probinsya 4, Calubaquib added.
