355,000 tourism workers to get cash aid

MANILA, Philippines — More than 355,000 tourism workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic across the country have been approved to benefit from the government’s cash for work program.

In Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal alone, a total of 67,347 beneficiaries were approved to receive the one-time P5,000 cash aid through the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program under the Bayanihan to Recover as One (Bayanihan 2).

Of this number, 6,817 are in Bulacan, 8,422 in Cavite, 14,161 in Laguna, 10,582 in Rizal and 27,365 in Metro Manila.
