Bicol records 83 new COVID-19 cases in single day
LEGAZPI CITY — Bicol logged 83 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases on Saturday, April 10, the highest recorded during the past 10 days (April 1-10).
This brings to 824 the active cases in the region, the Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol said.
DOH Bicol also recorded nine recoveries and one death on Saturday.
Of the 83 new cases, 62 were in Camarines Sur (29 in Naga City, eight in Iriga City and 17 in other towns). Albay has recorded 10 cases, Sorsogon has nine and the island provinces of Masbate and Catanduanes have one each.
Nine of the new cases were admitted in hospitals while 74 were isolated in quarantine facilities.
DOH Bicol tracker for April 10 showed that it has logged 5,937 cumulative cases in the region since March last year. The region also has 4,874 recoveries and 239 recorded deaths.
