6 new COVID-19 cases reported in Calapan
CITY OF CALAPAN — Six COVID-19 cases were reported in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro by the City Health and Sanitation Department on Friday, bringing to 902 the city’s total cases since the pandemic started last year.
The new patients, four males and two females, have ages ranging from 30 to 60. The agency also recorded five recoveries.
Of the total cases, 799 have recovered while 16 died. Some 87 are still sick or active cases.
Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor on April 7 issued a memorandum on health protocol for symptomatic personnel and attendance log to all employees of Oriental Mindoro provincial government.
As of April 8, Oriental Mindoro Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported a total of 1,881 cases, of which 285 are active cases, with 1,552 recoveries and 44 deaths.
Also on April 8, a total of 2,000 vials of China-made Sinovac vaccine from the DOH arrived via chopper of Philippine Coast Guard at Calapan City Airport for inoculation of residents in Oriental Mindoro province.
