COVID-19 beds in Manila hospitals 67% full
MANILA, Philippines — Beds in hospitals in Manila City for COVID-19 patients are already 67% occupied, with some hospitals nearing and are already at full capacity.
Based on data shared by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Wednesday, out of the 523 beds meant for COVID-19 patients, 351 are already occupied as of Wednesday, April 7.
The data did not specify how many beds in the intensive care units (ICUs) catering to severe or critical COVID-19 cases.
The following is the breakdown of COVID-19 bed occupancy across six district hospitals in the city:
- Ospital ng Manila – 41% (61 beds occupied out of 150-bed capacity)
- Ospital ng Sampaloc – 103% (38 beds occupied out of 37-bed capacity)
- Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital – 37% (25 out of 68-bed capacity)
- Gat Andres – 66% (66 beds occupied out of 100-bed capacity)
- Ospital ng Tondo – 83% (15 beds occupied out of 18-bed capacity)
- Sta. Ana Hospital – 97% (146 beds occupied out of 150-bed capacity)
Meanwhile, beds in COVID-19 quarantine facilities in the city are already 54% full, with 470 beds occupied from 870-bed capacity.

Article continues after this advertisementAs of 12 noon on Wednesday, Manila City has 4,085 active COVID-19 cases, 41,060 recovered patients, 941 deaths, and 647 suspect cases.
This makes the total COVID-19 cases in the city 46,086.
