MANILA, Philippines —President Rodrigo Duterte appeared to have sent his best wishes to former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada, who remains hospitalized a week after testing positive for COVID-19.
Estrada’s sons, former senators JV Ejercito and Jinggoy Estrada, took to social media to thank the President for calling to inquire about their father’s health.
(It means a great deal to us that you called to inquire about our father’s condition. I was really surprised. It is inspiring for us to hear this in the midst of our father’s illness.)
