Fire hits 10-ha cogon land in Bataan
BALANGA CITY — Fire razed a 10-hectare vacant cogonal lot here on Saturday, authorities said.
Initial investigation showed that the blaze was traced to a mound of garbage and quickly spread to an adjacent area in Barangay Upper Tuyo around 4 p.m.
Jimmy Mangalindan, a member of a local rescue team, said the fire hit a grassy portion of the subvillages of Cloverville and Pagibig.
Mangalindan said no one was hurt in the fire that lasted for about four hours.
