House help stabbed dead during quarrel in Pangasinan
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan—A house helper was stabbed dead by another house helper following a heated argument at 8:30 a.m. on Black Saturday in San Carlos City.
Mary Jevel Alba, 22, was reportedly struck multiple times with a kitchen knife by 61-year-old suspect Jimmy Soriano Caranto. Both residents of Basista town, they were feuding at the kitchen of their employer, who was not identified in the police report.
The victim was brought to a hospital in San Carlos City but was declared dead on arrival.
Responding police officers arrested Caranto and have taken custody of the murder weapon. YOLANDA SOTELO
