COVID-19 active cases in PH now at 165,715 with 12,576 new infections
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines now has 165,715 active COVID-19 cases as the Department of Health (DOH) reported 12,576 additional infections on Saturday.
In its latest data as of April 3, the DOH said the country now has a total of 784,403 COVID-19 cases.
Of the active cases, 96.5 percent are mild, 2.2 percent are asymptomatic, 0.5 percent are critical, 0.5 percent are severe and 0.30 percent are moderate.
Meanwhile, there were also 599 new recoveries and 103 additional deaths, bringing the total to 604,905 and 13,423, respectively.
Thirty duplicates, of which 14 were recoveries, were removed from the total case count
Meanwhile, 48 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation, the DOH added
