Expect warm Tuesday weather, Mindanao rain showers due to LPA – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines – A shallow low-pressure area (LPA) will trigger scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Mindanao, while warm weather is expected nationwide due to the easterlies, state weather bureau said Tuesday.
In its 4 a.m. live weather update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the shallow LPA that was spotted outside the Philippine area of responsibility has a minimal chance of becoming a tropical depression.
“Pero makakaranas pa rin po ng mga pagpaulan— especially dyan po sa Mindanao—ng mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at pagkidlat, pagkulog,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.
(Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Mindanao.)
Meanwhile, the easterlies—or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean will prevail over most parts of the country.
Hence, warm weather along with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, Pagasa said.
