The number of COVID-19 cases among the Department of Health (DOH) employees almost doubled in nine days, prompting Health Secretary Francisco Duque III to reduce the number of workers required to physically come to work. In a memorandum, Duque said 80 employees at its central office in Santa Cruz, Manila, have caught the virus as of March 27, 35 more than the 45 cases recorded on March 19. Duque said only 30 percent of the employees should be at the office.
