Tagbilaran gets 1st COVID-19 fatality, Bohol’s 27th

TAGBILARAN CITY—A male resident of this city died of COVID-19.

On his Facebook page, Mayor John Geesnell Yap II said it was the first COVID-19 death in the city and the 27th in the province.

Yap said the man died while being admitted in the hospital.

The mayor appealed to residents to heed health protocols to prevent the spread of SARS Cov2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

As of Friday (March 26) Bohol has 1,565 cases of COVID-19. It included 188 active cases, and 1,350 recoveries.
