2 drug suspects dead in Cavite busts; 75 alleged pushers held
LUCENA CITY –– Two drug suspects were killed in buy-bust operations that ended in alleged armed encounters in Cavite province over the past two days, the police said.
Colonel Marlon Santos, Cavite police chief, said in a report Thursday that one of the drug pushers, Luisito Pineda, was killed on the same day in a drug sting at Barangay Ibayo Silangan in Naic town.
The police reportedly found one caliber .22 pistol with five bullets and two empty shells from Pineda’s body.
Operatives also recovered 13 plastic sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), the police added.
On March 24, Santos also reported the death of Sonny Boy Sagrado after he engaged the policemen in a gunfight in Barangay Manggahan in General Trias City.
A caliber .38 revolver and four sachets of shabu weighing 20 grams were recovered from the slain suspect.

Article continues after this advertisementAuthorities seized 226 sachets of shabu, 22 sachets, and three “bricks” of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and cash believed to be from the sale of illegal drugs.
