3 drug suspects yield shabu worth P473,000 in Lucena
LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested three alleged notorious drug pushers and seized over P473,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in two buy-bust operations here Monday.
Lucena police chief Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea said operatives collared Carmelo Licas, 36, after he sold shabu to a police agent in Barangay Kanlurang Mayao at 7:20 a.m.
The suspect, who is on the police list of drug pushers, yielded 11 sachets of shabu that the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) values at P74,120 and is worth P222,360 in the street.
At 6:50 a.m, the police busted Giovanni Del Rosario, 43, and his associate, Hazel Kris Lacson, 35, in another sting in Ibabang Dupay.
Authorities seized 12 sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P83,980 and a street market price of P251,940.
The police said Del Rosario was on the police drug pushers’ list. Lacson had a previous drug case.
The suspects are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
