DAR warns buyers of awarded farmland
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) warned the public against buying farmland awarded to agrarian reform beneficiaries, at the risk of being invalidated without proper documents.
Luis Pangulayan, the undersecretary for legal affairs, said any contracts of sale awarded to a farmer-beneficiary would be invalid, if they were done without a DAR transfer clearance.
