MANILA, Philippines – Anti-narcotics agents arrested Monday night two college students and three others who yielded P13.6 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Tunasan, Muntinlupa.
In a report by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Tuesday, the operation was conducted on Monday by operatives of the PDEA-National Capital Region (NCR) and Muntinlupa City Police in a fast-food chain along Muntinlupa Highway.
The buy-bust was led by Muntinlupa station chief of police PCol.Bong Buslig and Muntinlupa City Station Drug Enforcement Unit PMaj. Peter Aquino.
Nabbed during the drug bust were Donnalyn Julhasan, 21 and Denver Porlahe, 19, both college students; and Liezel Julhasan, 40; Rovelyn Enot, 40; and Sharifa Kuly, 28.
Also confiscated were five Android cellphones, two analog cell phones, four identification cards, a Toyota Wigo, and 20 bundles of P1,000 bills.
The suspects will be charged for violating Section 5 (Sale of illegal drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy) of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. – Liezelle Soriano Roy, trainee
