Pampanga rolls out Sinovac vaccines for frontliners
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– The province of Pampanga on Monday rolled out the first doses of the Chinese CoronaVac vaccine, prioritizing the healthcare frontliners.
Dr. Monserrat Chichioco, medical director of the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital (JBLMGH) in this capital city, received the first jab of CoronaVac in the facility.
The vaccine is manufactured by Sinovac Biotech Ltd. in China and was donated to the country.
Over 400 medical frontliners at the JBLMGH signed up to receive the CoronaVax. At least 200 more would be vaccinated in other key COVID-19 referral hospitals in the province.
About 11,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccines were allotted to various hospitals in Central Luzon. INQ
